The utility room and porch - before and after

So - the old kitchen disappeared, to be replaced by a small porch and more GARDEN.

And a blocked-up window was re-opened to give some more light in the utility room.

The Utility Room

I've not posted much about the changes in the utility room, this is some of the work in progress:

The window was opened up and a new sash put in.

A new floor has been laid, new units installed, and a cupboard is being built at the end where the boiler is.

Unpleasantness in the utility room

Tony & Dave had to take some ceiling boards down to put new wiring into the utility room, and found that the space above the boards had been stuffed with sawdust (for insulation??)

They weren't very happy, it came down on top of them.

The beginning - May 2014

Finally the proud owner of an old and slightly wrecked house, I'm going to post photos of the progress made turning it into somewhere I want to live, as I have promised friends & relations. Here goes:

Alexander House

For those who don't know, a joke between me & Chris was that we would buy a B&B when we retired, and call the house 'Alexander House'.  So, in my mind at least, this is Alexander House, though I'm not so sure about the B&B...
