The utility room and porch - before and after

So - the old kitchen disappeared, to be replaced by a small porch and more GARDEN. 

And a blocked-up window was re-opened to give some more light in the utility room.

I've been meaning to post this for a while, but have been busy moving in.

And now the new porch goes up...

And it's just waiting for Derek the Dragon, all the way from Battlesbridge, for the finishing touch.

The old kitchen goes

We're getting to mostly decorating and finishing touches in the house now, so finally the old kitchen extension has come down, to be replaced by a porch and a bigger garden.

The beginning - May 2014

Finally the proud owner of an old and slightly wrecked house, I'm going to post photos of the progress made turning it into somewhere I want to live, as I have promised friends & relations. Here goes:

Alexander House

For those who don't know, a joke between me & Chris was that we would buy a B&B when we retired, and call the house 'Alexander House'.  So, in my mind at least, this is Alexander House, though I'm not so sure about the B&B...
